It’s time again to unload some sketches! This past week was comprised of the usual gals but with a mix of other characters (I swear I trying to be more varied!). I did start on a couple of new jointed dolls, this time borrowing from the epic battle between the Giant Squid and Sperm Whale. Once colored and assembled, I’ll be able reenact these two beasts, thrashing against each other or being civil and having a cup of tea together

Daily Doodle Week 4: Archive

Holy Mother of Pearl! It’s almost the end of January and I seriously think that I’m experiencing space-time lapses because once again, time slips by so fast….

Here’s a collection of this past week’s doodles.

Thought I would play a bit with more light and darks, but I can’t argue with the pencil and marker, it just starts scribbling away. Seems character portraits are easiest to escape, will have to try and build better compositions for this week.

The past week’s sketches were full of crawlies, bugs, and entomology related doodles. It’s amazing how many species exists in this branch alone, something like 6-10 MILLION… so freaking diverse! Even though I only captured 7, this theme will probably be a recurring one.

This week will be open, going to try for more light and shadow perhaps.

Been really addicted to customizing these Monster High Dolls lately.  Hopefully will have them completed tonight.  Dita is a Puppeteer’s daughter and Lily is the last of her family line of Vampires ~
